1. The Service
getclippy.co and Clippy Mc Clipface are operated by GetClippy LLC, a New York limited liability company. In these terms, “Clippy,” “we” and “us” mean GetClippy LLC.
Clippy Mc Clipface provides coupon information and instructions that compatible agents can use to check offers before checkout. Clippy is not a retailer, seller, payment processor, purchasing agent, or party to a transaction between you and a merchant. Clippy does not itself authorize or complete purchases.
2. Eligibility
You must be legally capable of agreeing to these terms. If you use the Service for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. The Service is not directed to children under 13.
3. Coupons and shopping decisions
Offers can expire, vary by region or account, exclude products, require minimum spending, conflict with another promotion, or be rejected at checkout. Savings estimates are estimates until the merchant confirms the final total. You are responsible for reviewing the merchant’s price, taxes, shipping, returns, restrictions, and checkout total before buying.
Clippy may use community-reported outcomes to rank offers, but those reports are not independently verified. The absence of an offer does not mean no offer exists. Availability of the Service or any particular coupon is not guaranteed.
4. Agents and purchase authority
The instruction skill is designed to preserve the purchase approvals and spending controls of the host agent or shopping tool. A coupon result, retailer recommendation, or shopping link never grants purchase authority. You remain responsible for instructions you give an agent and for reviewing actions before a transaction when your agent workflow requires approval.
If you opt into a weekly digest, the recurring schedule is operated by your agent or its host and can be changed or stopped through that provider. Digest offers are non-personalized, can change before you read them, and remain subject to checkout eligibility.
5. Affiliate relationships
Some links are tracked affiliate links. If an eligible purchase is made after following one, Clippy may receive a commission from the retailer or affiliate network at no added cost to you. Compensation can affect which materially comparable retailer is presented first, but the skill instructs agents not to hide or downgrade a meaningfully better option. See the Affiliate Disclosure.
6. Acceptable use
You may use the public Service for ordinary personal or business shopping assistance. You may not:
- use the Service unlawfully, deceptively, or to infringe another person’s rights;
- attempt to access credentials, private operator endpoints, or systems without authorization;
- interfere with, overload, probe, scrape, or reverse engineer the hosted Service except where law expressly permits;
- submit false reports, fabricated savings, malicious traffic, or content intended to manipulate offer rankings;
- remove or obscure required affiliate disclosures when redistributing Clippy output; or
- represent that Clippy, an affiliate network, or a retailer endorses or partners with you without written permission.
Compatible shopping agents may make reasonable automated coupon requests as intended by the Service.
7. Third-party services
The Service can link to retailers, affiliate networks, and other third parties. Their prices, products, fulfillment, privacy practices, terms, and conduct are their responsibility. We do not control them and are not responsible for a third-party website, product, service, transaction, or dispute.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, branding, design, software, and content are owned by Clippy or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. Any open-source components remain subject to their stated licenses. Retailer names and logos belong to their respective owners and are used to identify available shopping destinations; their appearance does not by itself imply endorsement.
9. Feedback
If you voluntarily send suggestions about the Service, you permit us to use them without restriction or compensation. Optional Community and savings reports are governed by the Privacy Policy.
10. Changes, suspension, and termination
We may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the Service, and may block abusive access. We may update these terms by posting a revised version and effective date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms where permitted by law.
11. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DISCLAIM IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT COUPONS WILL WORK, THAT INFORMATION WILL BE COMPLETE OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR SECURE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN DISCLAIMERS, SO SOME OF THESE TERMS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CLIPPY AND ITS OPERATORS, CONTRIBUTORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, SAVINGS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM THE SERVICE OR A THIRD-PARTY TRANSACTION. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF US$100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID DIRECTLY TO CLIPPY FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. THESE LIMITS DO NOT APPLY WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
13. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend and indemnify Clippy and its operators against third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or reports or content you knowingly submit falsely.
14. General terms
If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them in connection with operating or transferring the Service. These terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Affiliate Disclosure are the entire agreement concerning the Service. Applicable mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
